news-details

Thecla Bodewes Shipyards is proud to announce that the hull construction works of the RV Wim Wolff are nearly completed.

In a few weeks’ time the hull will be transported to the Thecla Bodewes Shipyards facility in Harlingen to start with the system outfitting and interior works.

RV Wim Wolff is constructed in aluminium and with a length of 37 meter this stunning vessel offers state-of-the-art facilities for a maximum of 12 passengers, and is equipped with onboard dry and wet lab facilities. The vessel also has room for two customized lab containers on the working deck.

The research vessel Wim Wolff is being built for the NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research. Thanks to her shallow draught of 1 meter the RV Wim Wolff will be used for research in the Wadden Sea, the Zealand delta or the Dutch coastal zone.
